Almost every American looks at a one dollar bill on a daily basis, but few view it for it's historic significance. The Freemasons play a significant role in our government but go unseen by the average American. To show just how much they are involved, the back of the one dollar bill is an excellent place to look.
The left side of the bill displays an unfinished pyramid with the all seeing eye above it. The unfinished pyramid is significant for two reasons. The first is the reason that the pyramid is unfinished. The Freemasons believe that their work will go unfinished in their lifetime on earth, and it continues on into the afterlife. If the square and compass, symbols of the Freemasons, are put over the pyramid, it spells the word Mason. Above the pyramid is the all seeing eye representing the Illuminati. The true connection between these two secret organizations is unclear. Some historians believe they have evidence that the Freemasons branched off from the Illuminati, while others argue there is little connection. Above the eye of the Illuminati are the latin words "Annuit Coeptis", roughly translating to He favors us. Freemason manuals often talk about worshiping their "Dark God". Although the Freemasons publically deny it, many past members and religious leaders warn of the Stanic rituals and hidden beliefs. The ribbon under the pyramid contains the latin words Novus Ordo Seclorum, roughly translating into a "a new order for the ages". The exact meaning of this phrase is also one of some debate. Conspiracy theorist argue that this refers to the coming of a New World Order where the lives of non-Freemasons will be strictly regulated and controlled, however it may simply refer to the emergence of a new country. On the bottom of the pyramid are the roman numerals MDCCLXXVI or 1776. There is little argument that this represents the signing of the Delcaration of Independence.
To the right of the word one and "In God we trust" is the seal of the United States of America. The bird in the center of the current seal is clearly a Bald Eagle, however this wasn't always the case. The orginal seal had a bird that was longer and thinner with little resemblance to the Bald Eagle, but very closely resembling the mythical fire bird, the Phoneix. The seal was later changed to the Bald Eagle that we are accustomed to today. The Eagle has thrity-two feathers on its dexter wing. This is the number of normal degrees of the Scotish Rite of Freemasonry, while the sinister wing contains one additional feather for the thrity-third degree awarded for outstanding service. The nine tail feathers are the degrees for the York Rite. The York Rite is the American rite, whereas the Scotish Rite has ties to France. This symbolizes the allience between the American and French to win the Americans freedom from England. The thirteen stars above the head of the eagle form the Star of David. Kind David was devoted to building a temple to his God, just as the Freemasons are to their "Dark God". In the beak of the bird is a scroll containing the latin phrse E PLURIBUS UNUM, translating into "of many one" which is reminder of the Freemasons bond to his fellow Freemasons.
The one dollar bill is loaded with symbolism. It's designers, such as Bengamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, along with most of the men from history refered to as the forefathers had close ties to the Freemasons. The history of the United States can not be studied without also studying the Freesmasons.
Authors note: It is the hope of the author that this article is not viewed as another conspiracy theory. As was pointed out, there are many beliefs as to the exact meaning of some of these symbols. You pick up the dollar bill countless times, but how often have you really looked at it. We are creatures of habit. Once we get accustomed to being exposed to certain things, everything becomes a routine. The real point of this article was to create what I call the "WOW" effect. This article is a sized down version of a two page decriptive paper I wrote in college. A copy of my paper was passed around by my professor, and I had almost everyone come to me in total disbelief. They couldn't believe they had missed so much. This is the effect that I like to create. Although everything that I have written came from hours and hours of research by numerous sources and I am confident in the facts of my article, I don't want you to take my word for it, because that isn't the point of my writings. As you proceed through your daily routine, please observe things a little closer, and never ever let someone else think for you, including the T.V., politicians, newspapers, writers, teachers, etc. If you can do this, it is my belief that your life will change for the better.

There are people in the world, myself included, that don't believe everything we are told. It was my experience doing classified work for the government where I saw first hand the type of low down deceiptful things that our government does, and I know what I saw wasn't even the entire tip of the iceburg. It is really amazing what type of big world you open yourself up to if you take the time to think for yourself and to observe what really goes on. This is the point of my writings. I really want people to quit listening to everything that they are told, and think and observe for themselves. If we all did this, then the population wouldn't be able to be tricked and lied to so easily.

Thanks for the comments. One of the crazy things that I have learned by studying up on the freemasons is that most freemasons really don't understand what they are involved in. It's only the upper elite that really understand the evil rituals, political assassinations, etc.

I don't think the Freemasons are bad, they are just different and not everything thats different is bad, how about some of you read Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol" because a lot of the Freemasons in there are nice and kind people, and i know its just a book but you should be careful of what you say your dad or even a friend of your could be one and think about if you were to say something rude about them and how they would feel and how would you feel if you were s Freemason and your friend said that the Masons have a dark God and there weird! i would feel terrible. Just because there beliefs are different then ours doesn't make them bad or evil its just what they believe in, on the contrary they might think that Christians, jews, museums, and Hindus are weird! How marvelous the light is! This is funny to me. Conspiracies are entertaining. The fact of the matter is the truth can only be known if properly sought after. It is fun to make up ideas and watch feeble minded people take it as gospel. Futher more masonry is not a substitute for religion. It is merely a fraternal order, the coming together of bretheren for a common goal. When people don't know what something is they always call it bad.
Another interesting note. I remember in grade school looking at the tiny owl on the right top side of the front of the dollar bill. I agree that we must think for ourselves and evaluate the information that is presented to us and to not take everything at face value. However, I have seen many changes in the last three decades that has me believing that we're becoming closer to becoming a one world government. Some of these events include the unification of the European Banking that puts all of Europe on the Euro Dollar. Other moves in that direction is the direction of the US Government turning from a capitalistic society to a socialistic state. I feel that there will be many scary changes coming our way and that christian values will be denoted and made illegal. The anti-christ is already here.

You should read Dan Brown's book, "The Lost Symbol" as it is about the exact thing you have written about.
It sheds some insight into our history and government and is almost comical. In the book there is a claim that the capital building had an eternal flame, in the basement, burning for the Vestal Virgin god and a virgin must watch over it continuously, which is Greek mythology. But Arlington cemetery is burning the same flame???
Slight problem mate: The "EYE" on the US dollar bill was accepted by Congress as part of the US Seal in 1782, but wasn't adopted as a Masonic symbol until 1819.

On Independence Day, 4th July 1776, a four-man committee was formed to design a seal for the new country. The men were John Adams (non-Mason), Thomas Jefferson (non-Mason), Benjamin Franklin (Mason) and the artist Pierre du Simitiere (non-Mason). The American government records show that Benjamin offered "nothing" of any Masonic nature to the designs considered.
It was Simitiere who contributed the desnged to the committee, which were accepted and included the Eye of Providence within a triangle. Congressional consultant John Hopkinson (non-Mason) and artist William Barton (non-Mason) -- under the supervision of Secretary of Congress Charles Thomson -- made the final alterations and design configurations to the US Seal.

Where your hub has some interesting information in it, it is based largely on a lot of conspiracy theory falsehoods. I suggest that you dig deeper when researching the facts before posting again. Still, and interesting (albeit fictional) read.

I learned the meanings of many of these symbols as a child, from a man who I knew to be devoted to his family, to Christ, and to our government, and who (so I was told years later) was 33rd degree in Scottish rites.
You have reminded me of many of those lessons. Others, (the meanings prescribed to the number of feathers), I did not know about.
As for your authors note: Observe, question & learn was nearly always an underlying theme to those lessons.

I have to say. the article made me ponder even more. See I grew up in a home down south for kids run by the masons. They were always so secretive, then in high school up North my history teacher had a mason ring and I asked him about it and he got really quiet and never spoke a word to me again for the rest of the year.. it was really weird.

well i dont know about a lost symbol but i do know that the math and geometry has been kicking around since adam was a boy. Almost every culture has its secret societies and all bar none, including the freemasons beleive their secret codes cant be cracked. This is not so. Unfortunately advances in knowledge were abused after being painstakingly passed down thru the generations and abused. Now the whole thing just makes for a good read, conspiracy theories, u name it. If the secret societies believe they have a secret known only to those in some inner circle then great. There are no secrets
There is a lot on the internet about the Freemasons and the Illuminati. That is fine. But, what is dangerous, is not on the internet. There is a lot they are hiding from us. They are hiding it and doing a very good job.
